The third Provincial Chapter of Mysore Province gave mandate to the provincial team to establish a catechetical Centre in the province. Sr Leena Mascarenhas the Provincial Superior initiated the process, and a plot of land was purchased for the said purpose at Udbur.  The structure was put up which was blessed by Most Rev Dr Thomas Vazhapilly and inaugurated by the Provincial Superior Rev Sr Olinda Sequeira on August 31, 2009. Sr Clotty Olivera, the Coordinator for pastoral apostolate took up women’s leadership training at different parishes. Sr. Fridesville Menezes being the pioneer in the place Sr Cressy D Souza joined her as the superior and Sr Pramila Mascarenhas as member. The Divya Jyothi community also housed the formees of the first stage of formation. Thereafter education apostolate had its origin in and the pastoral apostolate was also initiated.
