Suntikoppa, known as the ‘air-conditioning room’ of Karnataka is located on the Mangalore-Mysore State highway. The wide-raging coffee plantation adorns Suntikoppa. The Ursuline Franciscan Sisters landed at Suntikoppa at the invitation of Fr J P da P Sequeira who was the Parish Priest of Madikeri. The parishioners shared their mite to put up the structure which turned out to be the residence of the Sisters in 1957.

Right from their arrival, the pioneers engaged themselves in sustaining and fortifying the faith of the people by means of catechizing and preparing them for sacraments, visiting the families and praying with them. They also started the class from 1^st to 3^rd and upgraded to the middle school level in 1960. Sisters not only dedicated to school but also were conducting tailoring classes to young women and girls to support their family income.

The Sisters as a community apart from their education apostolate, visit families to guide them in Christian faith, teach catechism, attend S.C.C prayers in the families, accompany parishioners during Christmas carols, arrange for holy Eucharist, prepare the little children to receive sacraments etc. Being a transit house they offer Franciscan hospitality all those who come over there.
