The canonical erection of Maria Niketan was on 20 January 1985 in the small old farm house as the Regional house. The new Maria Niketan convent was blessed on 21 October 1992 as the Regional House. From 1992 -1995 it was housed the candidates till they were shifted to Kengeri in1995. The Regional Chapters, Retreats and Common gathering take place in this house. On 3 January 1998 the Region was raised as Province and it became the Provincial House till it was shifted to Maria Kripa on 5^th April 2003.

Maria Niketan the mothering house hosts the programs’ namely spiritual activities, seminars, retreats, celebrations, and above all the Provincial Chapters. The intercessory prayers of our beloved departed Sisters strongly support our activities.

Education being the most needed area of service Higher Primary School was started in 1988 that developed into High School in 2002. English medium classes from 6^th Std were also began from 2010 as a response to the Globalization.

Presently Maria Niketan continues to animate the apostolic activities of Education, Formation, Faith Formation and counseling. Collaboration of UFLA members is sought for fruitful apostolate.
